At Interview Cursor, your privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our AI-powered interview assistant. By using Interview Cursor, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not access your Google password.
  • Usage Data: We track session durations and feature usage to improve the service. This data is anonymized and aggregated.
  • Payment Information: Payment details are processed securely by our third-party payment partners (Dodo Payments). We never store your full card number, CVV, or banking credentials on our servers.

2. Complete Stealth — 100% Undetectable

Interview Cursor is designed from the ground up to be completely invisible and undetectable. Your privacy during a live interview is absolute:

  • Invisible on Screen Share: Interview Cursor uses advanced overlay technology that is completely hidden from screen sharing and screen recording software. When you share your screen during an interview on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or any other platform, Interview Cursor’s interface is never captured or transmitted.
  • Invisible in Taskbar & Dock: The application does not appear in your system’s taskbar (Windows) or Dock (macOS). There is no visible window entry, tab, or icon that could indicate it is running. It operates completely off the radar of the standard desktop UI.
  • Invisible in Task Manager / Activity Monitor: Interview Cursor is engineered to avoid detection in system process lists, task managers (Windows), and Activity Monitor (macOS). It does not register a visible process name that could be identified as an interview assistance tool.
  • No Desktop Icon or Tray Icon: The application runs without creating any system tray icons, notification badges, or desktop shortcuts that might be spotted during an interview. It is a fully headless operation from an observer’s perspective.
  • No Watermarks or Visual Indicators: Unlike some tools that overlay watermarks, badges, or recording indicators, Interview Cursor produces zero visual artifacts on your screen that could be detected by your interviewer.

3. Data We Never Collect or Sell

We want to be entirely transparent about what we do not do:

  • We never track your browsing activity outside of Interview Cursor.

4. End-to-End Encryption

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS 1.3 encryption. Your account credentials are protected by AWS Cognito with enterprise-grade security.

5. Third-Party AI Providers

Interview Cursor uses third-party AI models (OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini) to generate responses. When your interview data is sent to these providers for processing:

  • Data is encrypted in transit.
  • We use API agreements that prohibit these providers from using your data for model training.
  • Data is processed and immediately discarded by these providers in accordance with their enterprise API data policies.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns and improve our website. These analytics cookies do not track your interview sessions or personal interview data. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

7. Data Retention

  • Account data (name, email) is retained as long as your account exists.
  • Payment records are retained for legal and tax compliance purposes for a period of 7 years.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data we hold (account information).
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing (by deleting your account).

9. Children’s Privacy

Interview Cursor is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as an in-app notification). Your continued use of Interview Cursor after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
